About this course
Sex and gender are important factors to consider during medical treatment. Sexual dysfunction can be a medical condition in itself, or a co-morbidity or consequence of treatment of other conditions, such as cancer and diabetes. This course is designed for students pursuing a career in healthcare, providing you with foundational knowledge in the field of sexual health and sexuality. You will explore topics ranging from embryological genital development to the treatment of sexual dysfunction and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in adulthood, as well as the opportunity to engage more deeply within additional areas of interest.
